How we keep you and your identity safe

Consent

At MHN we work with you and make sure that you decide what happens to you. Consent is you agreeing to something, such as taking part in an activity and is a legal requirement to keep you safe. At MHN we will make sure that you understand what you are agreeing to so this may be verbally or in writing, for example, if your agreement is needed to make a referral to a specialist service, written consent may help you to understand what you are consenting to.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is how MHN protects the young people it supports from harm. Please contact us to request a copy of our Safeguarding Policy. In line with the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board (OSCB) if there are concerns a child or young person is deemed at risk or has potentially suffered significant harm, the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) will be contacted immediately on 0345 050 7666 or 0800 833 408 out of hours.

Confidentiality

MHN takes privacy seriously and if a young person is under 18 they have the right to keep what they say confidential. As a parent you do not usually have the right to see information about your child. MHN may share information about the young person on a need to know basis, with their consent. This also applies to information provided by parents or carers. Please refer to the safeguarding statement for additional information.

Data Protection

MHN adheres to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) to keep information held about you safely stored and communicated. Please ask for a copy of the MHN Data Protection Policy for additional information.
